After marrying Ragini Sharma (Aishwarya Rai), Dev Pratap Sharma (Vikram Kennedy) decided to move to Vikramasingapuram, a small village in South India. Dev wanted him and Ragini can live with peace and peace of this small village. Unfortunately, when we get there, Dev has to deal with something very different from what he imagined.

In Vikramasingapuram, there is no law. The only applicable law is what is spoken by Beera Sundra (Abhishek Bachchan). All of which must be realized and desired Beera Beera want Ragini. Dev did not want to be involved with the affairs of Beera but when Ragini is at stake then there is no other option but to fight.

RAAVAN This is a movie directed by Mani Ratnam's work was made based on a script he wrote with Suhasini Mani Ratnam, his wife. Reportedly, this RAAVAN inspired by the story of Ramayana and each main character in this film is a manifestation of Rama, Shinta, and Ravana.

Mani Ratnam was not a new director. In fact, among the lovers of Bollywood movies, Mani Ratnam is such a legend. Unfortunately it was when I saw the director has failed in its mission to interpret the classic tale of Ramayana into the modern world in this film RAAVAN. Or it could be precisely targeted Mani Ratnam is too high too which makes it fail this time.

Create Hindus, the Ramayana is not just a story. Ramayana is part of the religion they profess and create new interpretations are at high risk, especially for the adherents of Hinduism. Then there is the slightest mistake, then the risk will be very heavy. And Mani Ratnam stuck in this one issue.

There is nothing wrong from the side of an entertainment RAAVAN. Mani Ratnam in choosing the set jelly. Attendance seemed to be pampered with a spectacular natural backdrop of every scene in this film. Unfortunately, carefulness in selecting the location filming was not balanced with a good script writing. Reportedly the film is indeed the basic idea originated from the Mani Ratnam and she also is writing the script with his beloved wife.

The structure of the story offered a very thin and almost entirely without a clear plot. Consequently, the formation of characters also fail to be achieved so that all who enter large-caliber cast also seems to be something in vain. Coupled with a disappointing ending, complete disappointment was the audience. On the other hand, AR Rahman, who worked on the music for this film actually have a chance to succeed from this soundtrack.
